I am really pleased to see these notes. Not pleased however, that they were not written before I too rented from Yourstay.com. And the information above about Raz Ofer, is so true. I rented an apartment in April, for three weeks. When we arrived the place was so bad, I immediately called and told them, and they assured me that someone would be right over to take care of the problems. No, they were not. They advertise the apartment as having a fully kitted kitchen and a complete entertainment center. Their pictures on the website are quite nice, but the apartment we were given was so bad, the only surface available to put things on (or IN) was the dining room table and a small end table in the bedroom. I am currently fighting with my credit card too, as they talked to Raz and was assured that I was billed properly and no refunds would be provided. That is because, after complaining about the apartment we were in, they moved us to another one three days later, and that was the one they have on the internet showing the rooms, but again, things were missing, including a phone and it took three more days of calling at least three times a day to get someone to deliver it. After complaining further, we left on the eighth day of a 22 day stay, and I too was verbally abused by Raz, and told that I would not be getting a refund. I am still in the process of negotiating with my credit card, and if they do not remove the charge I will be ending my 22 year relationship with them and they can come after me in the courts. I will not pay this bill.

A number of invididuals with a bad experience with YourStay have created a web page which highlights their rental. The URL is: http://notyourstay.0catch.com

If you have any YourStay comments you would like posted to the web site, please send them to: notyourstay@hotmail.com.

Thank You.

If YourStay.com is that bad, why not report it to the local Trading Standards Officer? The phone number on their website 7515 6718 is clearly in Tower Hamlets, for which the local TSO is at Trading Standards Office 60, Southern Grove, London, UK, E3 4PN.

A number of us have contacted Trading Standards. Which most learned about after our return from London. I exchanged emails with one individual at the Trading Standard Tower Hamlet Borough. Although he was very polite, there was little he could do except to advise me to seek some restitution from my credit card provider. Which, since we had actually stayed in the unit, our credit card provider decided that we had no recourse through them. Still, I would not discourage anyone who had a bad experience with YourStay from contacting the appropriate Trading Standards Office.

was just wandering if anyone had heard any recent stories as to what has happened with yourstay.com and if Mr Ofer was taken to court over his lack of payment for rent? I am thinking of using yourstay.com to book a place for myself and a few friends and have not heard of anything that says they are still ripping you off.

Yes, still. See tripadvisor about the yourstay New York apartments. See other links on:

http://www.shortstay-london.com/warning_yourstay_dot_com.htm

Raz has now annoyed people in Paris. yourstay.com continues to show my London Bridge apartments, and also is now showing pariserve.com apartments without permission. Link via the above link.

London Vacation Rentals liquidation is proceeding but slow. There may be other intended liquidations within the continuing business, watch out.

Apartments shown on yourstay.com as near Tower Bridge (stripey pictures in foyer), look nothing like the foyer in Mansell Street, and I think are near Whitechapel, a commercial area of clothes wholesalers and ethnic food markets.

The latest long complaint I know is below. To save you time reading it is about bait and switch techniques. This family ended up paying over the odds in a hotel and having credit card problems.

Subject: Complaint

I had an appalling experience with these guys-they owe me tons of money-here is the complaint I sent-I have also contacted the fair trade office

Dear Sir/Madam

Re: London Apt

Several months ago I contacted your service at www.yourstay.com requesting a specific apartment in London be reserved for 2-5 August 2004 for the xxxxxxxxxxx. Subsequent to my inquiry, I received a confirmation of a 1 bedroom apt in Haymarket with air conditioning for 172 pounds per night. My credit card was provided and a deposit to hold the apartment taken at that time. I subsequently spoke to your office amd was advised that a two bedroom with air conditioning was available for the same dates in the same location at 182 pounds per night. I agreed to accept that apartment. On your website very specific apartments are shown and selections made on that basis. Subsequent to this booking both my husband and myself made many attempts to contact your office to obtain information on picking up the keys on our arrival. We made it very clear that we would be out of touch and needed the information by the beginning of July. We were told we could not receive that information until 2 weeks before our arrival. and that it would be sent to my husband's email. That email was never received. I called the office and informed them of that fact-they were extremely rude and finally conceded to fax the infomration to us in Portugal. We were provided with an address of 128 Jermyn Street for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Upon my arrival at 13 Regent Street, the designated key pick up location, at 4 pm today, I was told that the apartment we had booked was no longer available and they would have to find a new one. After a 35 minute delay, during which my family was waiting in a cab,I was told by Victoria, who was extremely unpleasant, that she found no record of us requesting either a 2 bedroom or air conditioning, and that what she could provide was a one bedroom with no air conditioning. Please see the email below to Sam at your office confirming our requests, just one of many to do so.
I became increasingly angry and frustrated and informed the staff that their response was unacceptable, requesting to be put up in a hotel. The individuals I spoke to refused.Because of the lateness of the hour and the holiday bookings, we are now at The Covent Garden Hotel, which had rooms but is far beyond our budget.
Clearly this activity constitutes a 'bait and switch', misrepresentation and fraud. Yourstay.com acted in bad faith in representing one thing on the website and then not living up to these representations. Accordingly, I hereby ask that yourstay.com refund our deposit immediately and pay the difference between the 182 pounds per night for the booked apartment and the cost for 2 rooms at The Covent Garden, which will be approximately 325 pounds for the first night and 520 pounds per night for the next 2 nights, plus VAT.

Under the Supply of Goods and Services Act, you must represent and carry out your services accurately and fairly. Neither of these standards were met in this case. MOreover, the various regulations governing the internet, both advertsiing of services and content, require accuracy and truthfulness. Again, neither of these standards were met in this instance.

I would appreciate your check within the next 7 days, before I consider any further legal action.

Cordially,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's not surprising to read all the bullshit that Mr. John Dillon has wrote in fake names in this website and in others.

Well, Mr. Dillon probably have tons of spare time, since his company had no business in London.

DON'T BELIEVE TO JOHN DILLON'S LIES ON YOURSTAY.COM

YOURSTAY.COM is the best serviced apartments company in the world.

P.S:

JOHN DILLON- YOU'RE A LOSER

The 'anonymous' writer of the previous post writes in an aggressive, sweeping and boastful style and projects a hyped-up idea that others are jealous of [him]. Behind this attitude is a lust for money and the idea that whatever you do, however inconvenient to others, is OK if you make money. The writer sees himself as a winner and others losers, and people have indeed lost a lot of money dealing with yourstay. He has also latched onto my questioning of the authenticity of 'reviews' in tripadvisor.com. This is a sample of the sort of attitude at the heart of yourstay and you can imagine the experience of people who have had the misforture to deal with them.

I would remind people that independent web sites have highlighted what yourstay is up to. See other links from: http://www.shortstay-london.com/warning_yourstay_dot_com.htm

Yourstay makes life difficult for everyone using the web, as it exploits the idea that you can show pictures that have no relationship to the apartment description.
