I want to thank you very much for your service! Keep up the good work! The rate you got us was excellent! Even the clerk at the motel we booked was surprised (actually he frowned a bit that it was too low!) at the rate we got! That's what I like tosee...that way I know I got the best rate! Of course, he had to honor it. However you do that, keep doing it! We'll be back to visit your site next time we need to make travel reservations!(5-3-99)

Travel Sucks really hit the nail on the head at that point so I logged on. Your sight is good. It listed the hotels in the surrounding area, the prices (most important). We had no problem connecting, or getting a response. You are bookmarked with us.(9-9-99)

This is a great idea and site for those who travel a lot and know that TRAVEL SUCKS! (9-27-99)

Just signed on for your newsletter and love your name and the newsletter thus far. Keep up the great work and it should make all this travel a bit more fun. (10-30-99)

Loved the feed back from the pompous ass who didn't think your name was appropriate. Let him sit in a plane on the tarmac for two hours, have a wheel come off on landing, wait in a terminal for 8 hours because some chucklehead overbooked, etc, etc. He should lighten up, smell the roses and be thankful there is a site out there - never mind the name. It's just too bad that you couldn't respond with: Travel sucks and so do you !!(10-31-99)

I would LOVE to purchase one of your "travelsucks.com" baseball caps! I'm a flight attendant and could really get a lot of use out if it, not to mention free advertising for you. Plz let me know how to aquire one Thanks! (11-12-99)

Where did you come up with such an "appropriate" web site name?(11-13-99)
Editors Note: Believe it or not, at the end of the bar at Le Booze, Bourbon Street, New Orleans

your site is very informative and useful. It has much info and I can only use highest superlatives in praising it. But best superlative is that i can use much information you provide. Please keep up good work. (11-29-99)

Hey... Thought you might be interested in this... Love your website by the way.... (1-4-00)

it keeps getting better, Keep up the great work (1-15-00)

thanks for being here for us poor travelors (1-15-00)
Editors Note: You're welcome. Now about your spelling...

I just adore the newsletter, with the factual not glorified info supplied ;-) (1-30-00)

I enjoyed your site very much...The info from your site has helped my studies to become a travel agent enormously.(2-3-00)

I am wondering how many people entered for the last contest???(2-8-00)
Editors Note: If we told ya we'd have to kill ya

I'm interested in signing up for a credit card which I can earn frequent flyer miles on with each purchase I make. Could you please send me some information about your program, if you have one? Thank you. (2-11-00)
Editors Note: We don't have that. Not yet!

Yes, I like your web site. Is Pro Air listed on the stock exchange? If so, under what name or symbol. I'm thinking of getting some stock. (3-9-00)
Editors Note: What do we look like?

Hi! i'm 16 and planning a trip to independant Samoa.(3-11-00)
Editors Note: OK, have fun.

I enjoy reading your newsletter whenever it arrives. It beats out any other I already subscribe to, even Arthur Frommer's because it's easy to read and covers all the major airlines. The travel nightmares are also very interesting and helpful. Thank you for doing a great service to the public. (3-13-00)

I understand you are looking for in-flight supervisors. Please forward my message to someone that can give me further information. (4-11-00)
Editors Note: We're looking for what?

keep up the good work on the reports about how the major airlines are doing. i always love to read whos doing better and whos not! Thanks!!! (4-13-00)

The arrogance of the major airlines towards their passenger is incredible, and your subscribers are empowered by the information provided by you. Keep up the good work. (5-15-00)

If you are the owners of the above domain name I would be interested to know if it is for sale. (5-14-00)
Editors Note: Right now we're thinking of a really big number.

I just want to thank you. I got my problem solved by a very pleasant and helpful person. I'm so afraid to order on line because of lack of service but your company came through.(5-29-00)

I love travelsucks.com.......I work for the mighty AA and you let me know more than the company does! (7-16-00)

Very interactive site, especially with their detailed emails and newsletters. (8-2-00)

Travelsucks starts with an interesting premise: leaving your home can be an exasperating experience. That said, the easy-to-navigate site aims to make your vacation (the planning,at least) more trouble-free. (Forbes.com 'Best-of-the-web' website 5-22-2000)

I use your site very often as I travel about 200,000 miles per year. (11-9-00)

Got a great deal on a hotel in Orlando, thanks. (11-21-00)

Your website is great. (12-14-00)

Beautiful website. (12-16-00)

Congradulations on the recent write up in the Forbes Best of the Web issue. The praise was well earned. I was able to show off your site recently to some people as an innovative idea for a travelsite - I'm glad to see that Forbes agreed! (2-19-01)

TRAVELSUCKS.COM: Now here's a fun name, one that reflects how many travelers feel these days. Plenty to see and read at TravelSucks.com, including on-time flight stats, plus lots of bargain fares.
sree.net/tv/wabc/traveldeals.html

I've really enjoyed and used your travel bargains newsletters.

I appreciate your site very much.

Your site name sure stands out in directory listings. I just had to visit.

The travel nightmare of this week was well written, and far from being a rant. I also appreciate the effort the writer put in writing the compliment at the end. This is the kind of story that is helpful (I am now leery of Avis, and will know what to do if something like this ever happens to me.) Thanks for the great newsletter.

One bold site. As if biting the hand that feeds them, TravelSucks scorns the business they sell, travel. (Forbes.com'Best-of-the-web' website 2-26-2001)

Hello! I love your web site.

Thank you for your friendly designed website.

I noticed on your site (BTW, congrats on a having a gutsy attitude and using such a provocative name)...

Another casualty of the terrorist attacks - About.com cut 300 of its 700 Guide sites yesterday - eliminated 50% of the travelchannel in one slash - no advance warning, no advance notice. Yes, travel does suck!

Looks like something I'd see on the Rush Limbaugh website! Seriously that is AWESOME!!!!

I like your site and am strongly considering using it to make a two night hotel reservation in the DC area.

My thanks to the reader who submitted this, and to you for printing it. It is something we all needed to hear! I have forwarded it to my friends.

Thanks for the update, Wow real customer service for a change!

I've accidentally deleted my CA (for San Jose) newsletter and I might want to purchase the American Airlines flight to Denver. Can you resend the letter?

Hi, I'm looking for job as flight attendant in your company, but I don't know how can I get that information. Could you tell mehow to know about it, please. Thank you very much.(1-17-02)
Editors Note: Could have put this one in either column. Not sure why people think TravelSucks.com is an airline.

I was wondering if anyone at TravelSucks has heard of theFranke_______ Awards? Not sure is it's Frankenstein, or justFranke however it appears it is an award for the best/worst travel story. I've searched the net everyway I know and can't find anything.
Editors Note: We helped her out. Check out http://www.freddieawards.com

the theme to your web site is great! Good luck for your site.
Editors Note: Thanks

Do you only rent cars or do you rent toppers for pick up trucksas well? If you do not, do you have any suggestions of places that do?
Editors Note: Just cars, no toppers.

Could you perhaps supply me with an email address regarding employment with SAA? I am keen to work for SAA and would like to make an application for employment.

Love your site. This might be a little outside your area of expertise, but it would settle a bet (and let's face it, what's more important than that?)

I work for a resort in Siesta Key, Sarasota Florida called the Tropical Breeze Inn. I was very impressed with your site and...

I think your unusual name is really cool. Those people who were "offended" by it have absolutely no sense of humor!!! I will remember your site the next time I travel. Ron, Cleveland Ohio
Editors Note: We were hoping you (and others) would say that

I first found your site a couple of years ago. After comparing what you offered in comparison to other general travel search sites as well as the Main sites (Airline, Car rental), I confirmed that you offer both the best options as well as the best prices. Ever since, I have used your site exclusively notonly for my travel arrangements as well.
I am getting married in July, and I even went as far as to recommend your site to all of my guests (on the invitations) to make all of their travel arrangements. Admittedly, most have questioned me about the name of the site. But once I confirmed that it was legitimate, everyone seemed to have a sense of humor about it. Once I told them some of the deals I have gotten from you, they were floored. I believe I have found you many more future loyal customers.
As I said before, I have been using you for several years now for all of my travel arrangements. I have seen how your site has changed and improved significantly over the years. You now look much more like a real company they some shoddy back room hustler. It still needs work, but it does look better.
I give you big kudos not only for the ease of your site but what you offer as well. You have made me aware of things I never even thought about with travel before. Even my mother (CTC TravelAgent for 20 years) now almost exclusively uses your site.
Keep up the good work!!
Shame

It doesn't make sense that you should choose a name that isjuvenile, pandering, vulgar, unhip, and decidedly uncool. Change it. (10-26-99)

I, too , would like to see another name. It is a bit offensive.(10-30-99)

As a current airline employee I resent your greedy bastards remark about Delta cancelling the price hike. Why dont you make these comments about the car rentals and the hotel chains. Check the cost of an airline ticket in the 60's and 70's with the cost of a new car then and now. (11-28-99)

I don't know why it is that your site invariably shuts down Netscape on my computer and occasionally makes the blasted computer restart. Am I going to have to download a new browser to look at your site, or is it just because I have a Mac?(1-15-00)
Editors Note: Turns out it wasn't our site that made the Mac restart after all. Too bad, We'd REALLY like to know how to do that!

you guys really crack me up... (6-1-00)
Editors Note: We really weren't sure which column this comment belonged in.

I don't know how I got on to your web page, but I do not want to have anything to do with your company. Who ever dreamed up your name is uneducated and immoral. (6-8-00)
Editors Note: uneducated AND immoral? Well he's half right!

I have never been so insulted in all my life. The name of yoursite "travelsucks" is the most repulsive name in the history ofthe internet. (6-12-00)
Editors Note: Don't give us the "most repulsive name" award quite yet , you've got a lot more of the internet to checkout!

Your site sucks. (12-13-00) Year2000a1@aol.com

hi - my students make the same mistake - separate is the correct spelling (5-28-01)

The title of your company is in extremely poor taste. Only those with limited vocabulary skills resort to such terminology. Would not even consider doing business with a company whose title reveals such immaturity among those in charge. One would think that if you desire to do business with adults, you would use adult language.(6-1-01) Jim Meister jameister@buckeye-express.com

I think it's totally offensive.(9-9-01)

I read this week's nightmare story. I've had many in my forty years of travel so I'm generally sympathetic, but this individualis obviously not only ill-educated (note the bad grammar) but also clearly rude, coarse and by his own admission, foul-mouthed. I suspect he would have received somewhat more sympathetic treatment, had he been less boorish and insulting. Just because the airlines do a bad job, that's not a license for passengers to lose all civility. Sorry, but I did not appreciate this story and hope in future you select those that better reflect the airlines' terrible behavior rather than the passenger's.(7-2-01)

you are out of your f*cking minds if you think i'm paying 900 dollars to fly from chicago to belfast (10-2-01)

If you need your name to attract customers, I don't need your services.(9-7-02)

Where the hell is Providence !!(10-2-02)
Editors Note: Rhode Island

You must be kidding. Yoru site does suck (10-24-02)
Editors Note: OK. Now about your spelling...

Are you hiring for flight attendants at present time?

You need to have a more professional look for an airline company. I would be looking for a new web designer with more knowledge on how to build a professional website.
Editors Note: We're an airline? Better get someplanes.
